With the field of players still growing that are teaming up for the Zurich Classic next week in New Orleans. One thing is for sure, names like Ernie Els are big crowd draws.

Els is pairing up with Trevor Immelman, both men are from South Africa. Immelman won the Masters in 2008, but only placed a disappointing 51st in this year’s tournament, that ended yesterday at the PGA Masters in Augusta Georgia.

We can’t help but to mention, that this year’s 2019 PGA Masters, sparked a tremendous crowd roar, after fans around the world witnessed  a terrific comeback and win for Tiger Woods.

But for Trevor it should be an exciting week pairing up with Ernie Els for the Zurich Classic on April 22 – 28, 2019.

Ernie Els is a fan favorite with a record of 70 professional career victories, including four Major Championships, two World Golf Championships and seven World Matchplay titles.

The Zurich Classic is the only team tournament on the PGA TOUR season. Since launching the team format two years ago, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans has drawn some of the highest ranking fields for any regular-season tournament on the PGA TOUR. In 2018, the tournament field included six of the top ten players in the world; all four reigning major champions; the U.S. Ryder Cup captain and six members of the U.S. team along with the European Ryder Cup captain with four of his co-captains and six players on the victorious European team.

Putting a different spin into the PGA Tour, the Zurich Classic differentiates with a two-man team format, featuring two rounds each of Foursome and Four-Ball competition. The Zurich Classic is the only FedExCup team event on the PGA TOUR.

It is reported that the Zurich Classic of New Orleans is know to have generate over an estimated $40 million annually in economic activity, which has all helped in the rebuilding and resilience efforts post-Katrina. Since 2005, the Zurich Classic also has contributed more than $20 million to over 200 charities. The Fore! Kids Foundation helps charities and nonprofits across Louisiana.

Another highlight of the events is the Zurich Golf Ambassadors which include Jason Day, and the only female Ambassador  – Lexi Thompson, who has been a member of the Zurich Golf Ambassadors family since 2015. Lexi can be seen sporting the Zurich logo on her left sleeve. Capturing the 2017 Race to the CME Globe title and 10 LPGA Tour victories, Lexi is reportedly one of the most recognized golfers in the world.
