Following 2 nights of unrest and protest. Citizens young and old, of all colors, gender and ethnicity took to the streets demanding a stop to the Police Shootings, asking for the immediate release of the Police video and retribution, for the shooting by Charlotte Police (CMPD) of another Blackman. 43 year old Keith Lamont Scott was shot and killed by a CMPD Officer, in Charlotte on September 20, 2016 (Tuesday) afternoon, while he waited for his son to come home on the School Bus.

Thursday night – Black Lives Matter protestors demonstrated their 1st amendment rights to assembly and freedom of speech as citizens of the United States. While the Charlotte Police in full riot gear watched on, and as the National Guard showed a visual presence scattered through out the Queen City.

At one point the CMPD police announced a message over a loud speaker that the Charlotte Police was enforcing an immediate dispersement of all citizens or anyone, all protestors, bystanders and Media in the uptown area would face arrest. As the peaceful Black Lives Matter (BLM) protestor’s chanted back “why are you in riot gear we don’t see no riot here?” The CMPD police soon after began to march off headed around the block of Trade and Tryon St. before entering the Marriott Hotel and disappearing quietly through the city’s over-street walkways.

On Wednesday in uptown Charlotte we recorded a large gathering of Black Lives Matter protestors chanting “Being Black is not a Crime”

And another BLM protestor using her Poetic words for Justice – “Dear Black Community”
