Charles Canamar III, past away without ever receiving his 2 prosthesis legs that Charles was measured for and were ordered by the Veterans Affairs VA and manufactured by a local Prosthesis Company, the 2 Prosthesis legs only sat on a shelf collecting dust, Charles never received the legs. It had been more than 4 years since Charles P. Canamar was approved and measured for his 2 prosthesis, after losing both of his lower extremities on his legs. In 2 separate amputation operations, Charles lost both of his lower legs the operations were done here in Honolulu by the VA at the Tripler Army Medical Hospital. The family wanted to thank everyone, his friends (the Staff) at Salt Lake McDonald’s, and the folks that tried to help some shed light on his plight and this injustice by the VA, mahalo to Mr. Carroll Cox – http://carrollcox.com/Canamar.htm, and Hawaii News Now

We hope the DOJ, VAOIG and VA Sec McDonald will investigate these continued injustices and hold accountable the Hawaii VA leaders here for such sub-human insensitive acts upon our very Veterans that have served our country. Community members have expressed disappointment over the President and the White House staff closed eyes policy to ignore another Veteran in need, here is the video of the Presidents arrival and all the Drive by past Disabled Veteran Charles Canamar on the side of the road, asking for the 2 artificals legs he was measured for by the Veterans Affairs. Its been almost year since we 1st shared this story, with a cost of more than $20,000 for a pair of artificial legs that are sitting on a shelf collecting dust by the VA Tracey Betts, Patrica Turan Mathews and Wayne Pfeffer. Senator Mazie Hirono took no action to hold the VA accountable or question the VA Under Secretary.
