Thirteen High Schools meet for the 3rd Session of the Model United Nations Conference in Honolulu

Over 150 High School Students from both public and private Schools from around the Hawaii Islands gathered this weekend in Honolulu on November 14 – 15, 2014. The Students collaborated to model the work of the United Nations in leading groups, having dialogue, and debating topics. The hardworking weekend is a good example of some of the interests of our future leaders here in the Pacific.

Kyung Mi Lee (L) and other High School students from our public and private schools across the Hawaiian Islands worked in committees, settings agenda’s, debating topics, working papers and resolutions.

In both formal and informal debates, breakout  session topics included Disarmament and International Security, Overpopulation of Antarctica, Weaponization of the Seabed and Ocean Floor ,  International Law of the Sea, Embassy Safety and Security.

Students from thirteen public and private High Schools traveled from across the Islands to meet for the 3rd Session of the Pacific Model United Nations Conference held in Honolulu. Sharing perspectives & dialogues in a two day session that was the 3rd conference put together by the Stephen E. & Isabella H. Stevens World Peace Foundation.
