Is this really all we can do for our fellow human being and as a society? When the technics and resources to solve problems to homelessness & poverty are available.

Is this really all we can do for our fellow human being and as a society? When the technics and resources to solve problems to homelessness & poverty are available.

A stifling report in 2012 from the VA OIG to then Senator Akaka detailed failed policies, lack of ethics, guidance, oversight, and workload management.

The Honolulu VA Regional Office (VARO), which services the bulk of Hawaii’s and our Pacific regions did not meet VBA’s standards for five of the eight operational areas the VA OIG inspected:

* Standards were not met for Disability Claims Processing

* Standards were not met for the Systematic Analysis of Operations (SAO)

* Standards were not met for Mail-Management

* Standards were not met for the Homeless Veterans Outreach

* Standards were not met for Gulf War Veterans’ Mental Health Treatment

Hawaii’s Veterans Affair did not comply with Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) policy especially for Homeless Veterans. The VA OIG identified major leadership challenges, with problems and issues at the Honolulu VA Regional Office (VARO) fundamentally due to a lack of management oversight and unclear guidance of daily operations by management and head leadership, Tracey Betts, Andrew Dahlberg, Patrica Truan Mathews, to the VA staff and employees.

Hawaii Veterans Affair Director Wayne Pfeiffer has been asked to resign. And with the facts confirming not only that the Hawaii Director lied to congress, the reports showed that Hawaii had the longest wait time for a primary care doctor.

But in an arrogant statement to the Honolulu Star‑Advertiser it was reported that Wayne Pfeiffer our Hawaii VA director said he won’t resign.

The story was reported on Jun 13, 2014 – “The head of Veterans Affairs in Hawaii said Friday he will not resign … Wayne Pfeffer, director of the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System..” Read full article here:

I myself a Veteran have been placed on a blacklist here in Hawaii, it has been over 400 days and I am without any primary care doctor, and put on the Hawaii’s blacklist which keep Veterans off of VA computer and cooked-books lists and denies Veterans the very services Congress claim is guaranteed to Veterans. I was even informed that Veterans I have helped, double amputee Charles Canamar and others, that these Veterans have been denied help by Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and her staff for associating with me for help that the Hawaii VA is denying our Veterans. Wayne Pfeiffer, director of VAPHICS continues the cover up and lies.

Check back as we will be posting the Hawaii Veterans Affair Scandal Tapes of more the 5 hours of lies and the cover up, the collusion in meetings held here in Hawaii intended to harm and retaliate against Veterans.

Update – Feb 17, 2016 Embattled VA director Wayne Pfeffer of Veterans Affairs in Pacific has abruptly resigned, effectively immediately as reported from the Honolulu Star Advertiser. The Article from Dan Nakaso states :

“Pfeffer had been on the job less than three years and oversaw a system that at one point in 2014 had the longest wait times in the entire VA system for an incoming patient to get an initial appointment with a primary care physician. In 2014, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard had called for Pfeffer’s resignation.” Read the Full Article here https://www.staradvertiser.com/breaking-news/embattled-director-of-veterans-affairs-in-pacific-resigns/
