Tulsi Gabbard’s staff interrupts Veterans Speaking at “Veterans Listening Tour”

When was the last time you were invited to speak to our Congress Person, and when you stood up and as your sharing your complaints, the White House Staff interrupts you and states, “we will talk about that later.”

That is exactly what happened today at the Oahu “Veterans Listening Tour”. This is just another example how Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is using Veterans to promote her own politician campaign, while pretending to want to hear from and care about Veterans problems and issues.

Today’s event touted as a “Veterans Listening Tour” was supposed to allow Veterans to speak out about complaints, concerns, and personal experiences pertaining to the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Pacific Islands Health Care System. The Forum was created by Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard who represents Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District.

Veterans like Bryan Trumbower shared how he had waited, his story was also highlighted on Hawaii News Now – “It’s like that every time,” says Bryan Trumbower, a veteran who spent time in the Middle East.

Trumbower says he had to wait five weeks to see an E.N.T when he had a sinus infection. By the time he got in, the infection was gone because he went to an emergency room to get antibiotics.

But when my dialogue was not Sugar coated, and I stated my complaints and problems that continue to not rise to any level of response by Congresswoman Gabbard, but have for over the past year been ignored by Congresswoman Gabbard, of fraud, mismanagement, and flawed policies with the VA and its Federally Funded Programs and harm to Homeless Female Veterans. I was quickly interrupted and chastised to not speak, by Gabbards White House Staff Jay King.

I did not accept Tulsi Gabbard’s staff Jay King’s, interruption and stated to him, this is exactly why we have the problems of Veterans at Congress and with the VA, that this culture of behavior of ignoring Veterans real problems and not listening to Veterans has to change. Congress and the VA have to not only listen to the complaints and concerns of Veterans, but need to be held accountable, to stop the fraud, wrongdoing and abuse to the very people they claims to care about and serve.

I believe it is these patterns of behaviors, that has become criminal and the impediment of a fair and equitable process while denying Veterans their benefits and services that is the most insulting and harmful to Veterans.

While the flyer stated that Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was there to listen to and spend time with the Veterans, it became clear that this tour was just a campaign strategy using Veterans for photo opportunities, to further her Political Campaign and to raise monetary donations.

When I tried to approached Congresswoman Gabbard to hand her the photos of the 4 month old expired rotten meat served to Female Veterans and of Brendalis Garcia in the closet banging her head against the wall who was throw out of a VA Funded Homeless program for going on active duty and serving here country in the National Guard. Tulsi’s White House Staff, John Towles, interrupts me stating don’t bother the congresswoman that “Tulsi needs to go talk to her mom. ” Isn’t that funny, I thought this whole thing was for the Congress woman to listen and be with the Veterans. John Towles obviously uncomfortable hearing Veterans complaints and how Congresswoman Gabbard ignored pleas for more than a year and never responded to my complaints.

I politely walked past John Towles and handed Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard the 2 photos of the 4 month old expired rotten meat, the photo of the expired Soda’s served to Female Veterans. The photo of Brendalis Garcia in the closet banging her head against the wall the night before Brendalis was throw out of the VA Funded YWCA U.S. Vets Homeless program, for going on to active duty to serve her country in the National Guards. I had contacted Congresswoman Gabbard pleading for help while Brendalis sat distraught in the closet banging her head against the cement wall. The photo of the article with Alfrieda Trawick who was traumatized by the Honolulu Star Advertiser story and misrepresentation that Alfrieda was an alcoholic, and a drug addict, with PTSD and sexual trauma, which Alfrieda had stated she did not have any of those concerns.

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard took the 5 photos and stated she would be contacting me about the Federal Investigation of my Formal Complaints I filed to then VA Secretary Eric Shinseki, the OIG and President Barack Obama.

What are we really being served by the VA, U.S. Vets, YWCA, Mr. David Louie and the Hawaii Attorney General's Office, is it just more rotten meat that they are trying to conceal and cover up the injustices to Veterans.
