Opening night  at the Merrie Monarch Festival promises to full of beauty, and the adornment of Hawaii’s tropical Flora and fauna on the Hula Halau’s at the Edith Kanakaʻole Stadium. 

We spent the weekend with Aunty Denise Ramento, and her Hula Halau – O kauhionamauna, as they practiced and prepared for the trip to Hilo.

The Halau will be part of the opening performance at this year’s 2014 Merrie Monarch Festival and spent yesterday in Hilo practicing and preparing for tonight. Check back as we will keep you posted on the highlights of the Halua and the Festival.
