Rick Borgia takes “BEST ACTOR IN SHORT FILM” at the NYCIFF

Following an extensive acting career in Movies and Television roles from the most recent “I Married a Mobster” (TV series) to his past roles as a Godfather, an Assassin and his many other portrayals of bad boy character’s.

RICK BORGIA received the “BEST ACTOR IN SHORT FILM” 2012 award for his movie the “Gunner’s Rift” at the New York City International Film Festival.

It was no surprise that Rick Borgia’s took “Best Actor in Short Film” – for his movie the Gunner’s Rift. But the award reveals so much more, Rick is also a writer and a producer. He has been adding to his talents and career, as the producer and Co-writer of the Gunner’s Rift, Rick is inspired to add to his creative side of Film which continues to expand, through his A Dream XTreme Productions, and great collaborations with other Film industry actors and experts.

Gunner’s Rift brings the story line of a ruthless hit man’s destructive pathway, which leads him through a mire of crime and corruption. Gunner (played by Rick Borgia) and his brother Dom D’amato (played by actor Robert Funaro), a detective, find themselves having to corroborate to solve Gunner’s ex-girlfriend’s murder. When all hell breaks loose as two brother have to come together to find justice..the short film also included actor Angel Salazar, and was directed by Danny Provenzano.
