Vying for the title of Miss Hawaii

It is a busy week as the Miss Hawaii organization holds the preliminary with 16 extraordinary, talented & beautiful young women vying for the next level to compete at Miss America 2013. Poised to share the stage this year, 16 young women will showcase their Talent, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and an on stage question in hopes of sharing the unique qualities that reflect their personal strives, achievements and platform that could best suit one young women to be selected to represent our state of Hawaii at Miss America in January.

Tonight’s preliminary at 7:00pm at the Mamiya Theater-St. Louis Campus (Tickets are $20.00 at the door). Will narrow down the competition to 10 Women who will complete live on stage this Saturday evening June 9, 2012. The event which will broadcast live can also be enjoyed by everyone who would like to be apart of the live audience at the Hawaii Convention Center on Saturday, tickets are still available to purchase.

The Miss Hawaii Pageant is a combination of helping young women become and explore “the Best that they can be” through community service and a platform, opportunities to speak publicly, and to voice and demonstrate strong leadership skills. While showcasing the wisdom & beauty of earning scholarships toward high education. An opportunity that truly leaves a life long impact on the young ladies who chooses the pathway that guides them through the Miss Hawaii program.

The Miss America Pageant, was established in 1921, and is the single largest provider of scholarships for women in the world. Miss America also makes available the following scholarships to all contestants regardless of their competitive placement. A contestant need only to participate in any level of our program to be eligible, the “Tiffany Phillips Scholar Athlete Award”, “Eugenia Vellner-Fischer Award for the Performing Arts” and the
David B. Allman Medical Scholarship.

Each young lady grows in character & strength striving towards the four points of the Miss America crown – which stands for service, style, scholarship’s and success.
